Breeders’ Cup Classic – 3YO & Up, 1 1/4M, $6 million, 8:44 p.m. ET

Breeders’ Cup Classic picks:

  1. #10 Vino Rosso
  2. #8 McKinzie
  3. #6 Elate
  4. #9 Mongolian Groom

#8 McKinzie enters the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic a vulnerable favorite, having been knocked off by #9 Mongolian Groom in his final prep race.

The only problem is whether anyone else in this field is capable of capitalizing on that vulnerability.

Competing against the males, #6 Elate has a very real chance of beating the boys. However, it’s asking a lot of her to beat this class of horses at this distance.

Is #10 Vino Rosso, a notorious late bloomer, finally putting it all together at just the right time?

#3 Owendale and #9 Mongolian Groom are the longshots to keep an eye on, although both are most likely a better bet to hit the board rather than emerge victorious.
